Cole MacGrath wasn’t the only Sony-exclusive character that Capcom considered using as a contender in Street Fighter X Tekken. Capcom’s community director Seth Killian revealed that the idea of including Nathan Drake in the iconic fighting mashup was tossed around. Here’s what he had to say about Drake’s failed inclusion:
“We were committed to try and provide some extra content to Sony and we were excited about looking at the different roster and seeing who was out there, and you know you’ve got all sort of cool characters like Nathan Drake, but you know Nathan Drake has kind of a nice Han Solo kind of everyman and he’s a comical guy but the Japanese team got really excited about Cole and the flexibility of his powers, projectiles, grabs, and all sorts of cool stuff.”
Cole MacGrath will be accompanied by other characters exclusive to the PS3 version of the game such as Pac-Man and Mega Man. Street Fighter X Tekken will release on Xbox 360 and PS3 March 6th.
