David Jaffe has come forth with some new details about Twisted Metal talking about weapons, multiplayer in the full game and the final boss battle. While the demo tomorrow will NOT include any sort of local multiplayer, the full game will include split-screen co-op through the campaign. Jaffe also states that the final boss fight is the best the series has ever seen.
“When I say I don’t know if some weapons in TM are dodgable I mean, can YOU dodge a Napalm?!? I guess you COULD but I tend to just try not to get caught under the reticle and/or shield if I know it’s dropping.”- He side via Twitter “Also, if you’ve got 5 people coming at you from various sides, I’m sorry but the world’s best TMBO player- IN TMBO- could not dodge every weapon at the same time. THIS is what I mean. And depending on the distance a missile is fired FROM YOU and the angle will determine- along with the homing factor- if that missile can be dodged.” “And SOME players can dodge better than others and some of us can’t dodge at all. And some players are amazing at constantly moving and rotating around the enemy so the bad guy can never get a lock. AKA- I assure U, it’s not like every weapon homes and there’s nothing u can do about it.”
“Co-op campaign is only split screen local, not online. Lots of team/co-op online modes for TM though, but not in campaign.”
“Dude, the final boss in tmps3(Twisted Metal) puts every other boss we’ve ever done to f&#? shame!!! Thing is epic!”
These promising words are enough to have any fan of the Twisted Metal series jumping for joy and eagerly awaiting the fast approaching release date. Twisted Metal releases on Valentines Day exclusively for the Playstation 3.
