A few weeks back the ESRB released a rating for the original Killzone game. This naturally got many gamers excited to either give the original a go or replay it. Shortly after Sony confirmed the title and mentioned it would release on January 24th (PSN) for $9.99. However after todays update it would seem the title is nowhere to be found, though that isn’t to say it won’t appear later today either.
While currently we will have to play the “wait and see” game; why do you think its missing? Do you think someone spoke too soon or was the later than usual update to blame? Tell us below!

January 24, 2012 at 10:42 PMI’ve been waiting for this since the beginning of the month when the unofficial news came out. It was later endorsed by Sony but apparently it wasn’t true. It’s now 8pm and the game hasn’t shown up yet. What the hell? I’ve been wanting to pay this ever since I became a fan of the series with Killzone 2. Why is it that the PSN seems so amateur when it comes to this kind of stuff?

January 24, 2012 at 10:54 PMAs a long time Killzone fan I am deeply disappointed in Sony’s handling of this.
Also, I have started a discussion on this on the PSN forums. You guys are free to join in on it.

January 24, 2012 at 11:11 PMWell thing’s have been delayed randomly. A prime example being Inversion which was set to release in a week or two, Anarchy Reins which was set to be out now and Binary Domain. Most likely something came up and were just out of the loop. Sure it sucks, but give Sony a day before you get disappointed.

January 24, 2012 at 11:25 PMFrom my understanding, the game hasnt received an official date of release… Even on the ps blog they never said that it will come out. Only website with no credibility has started the rumor the it will come out on january 24th.

And Guerrilla Games also stated officially that there would be a port for the PS3 coming out on the 24th. I mean, as official as the official Killzone Twitter can be, lol.

And, honestly, Game Informer is hardly a “website with no credibility”.

Indeed. I only used that example as I knew where exactly it was. Additionally that GI link was actually always in my article (not sure if that was noticed or not).
