David Jaffe has stated that there will be a demo for Twisted Metal released sometime before the retail game. He stated that it will contain both single player and online components, and players who get to play the demo may get the opportunity to play with the developers as they will be jumping on to do further testing on the game. The demo will contain one level, and two online modes which are Nuke Mode and one type of Death Match mode.
It has also been said that the game will utilize Sixaxis controls as well as contain split-screen play for up to 4 people. The full split-screen details are as follows:
Bots have been confirmed, but they are only available in 2 player splitscreen, meaning there are no bots for 3 and 4 player splitscreen.
In total you can have up to 10 bots.
2 player splitscreen can play all 30 maps.
3-4 players can only play about 10 maps.
Twisted Metal is set for a Valentines Day release exclusively on the Playstation 3.
