The British video-gaming publication Official Nintendo Magazine reviewed a game titled Wheelspin (SpeedZone in the US), and gave it an 11% rating, saying that “As far as racers go, this one crashes and burns“.
Wheelspin is a racing game developed by Awesome Play and published by Bethesda. When it was first announced, the game was initially highly anticipated as it promised the definitive racing game for the Nintendo Wii “unpredictable race tracks at exhilarating speeds of up to 650kph” that would push the Wii to it’s very limits.
Sadly, this isn’t the case. Official Nintendo Magazine’s Games Editor Chris Scullion gave it the second lowest score in the magazine’s history (Second only to the WiiWare game Karate Phants: Gloves of Glory) and said “You might as well chuck your money down the drain instead. At least you’ll be able to control where it’s going.”
