Mere days after rumors began to spread about Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City getting a beta early next year, Capcom has quickly moved in to squash this internet chatter.
This is what was posted on the Capcom-Unity blog today:
“There has been some media coverage this week stating Capcom will run a public beta and release a demo for its upcoming title Resident Evil Operation Raccoon City. Unfortunately this was due to a website misreporting what was said during an interview.”
However, it was stated that there will be “plenty of opportunities for fans to play the game before it releases on March 20 in North America and March 23 in Europe.” No details were given on what these opportunities were exactly though.
Let’s hope they are hinting at a single player demo and not speaking generally about the game being available to the public at special events.
