Nintendo today revealed a few more odds and ends to be found in their upcoming Zelda game: The Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword.
Zelda is getting some neat crafting elements in Skyward Sword. Nintendo have shown off the new potion crafting system that allows you to combine raw materials, such as a variety of bugs, and use them to make a plethora of different potions to help sustain you on your quest.
Some time during Link’s new quest he will run into the Parella people – a tribe of people who look distinctly squid-like – who call Lake Floria their home. Floria is a new location that is hidden away deep within the Faron Woods.
Using the Wii’s motion plus peripheral players will be able to swim around this new aquatic location in a more realistic manner.
I’ve kept a low profile when it’s come to learning about Skyward Sword but now the release is fast approaching (November 18th in Europe) I’m really enjoying what I’m seeing. With Miyamoto’s insistence that this is the biggest and best Zelda game Nintendo have ever made – a bold statement given the series stellar reputation – I can really feel my own hype meter building for this one.
