From Software Not Above Griefing

Dark Souls comes out tomorrow in Japan, which is great news for them, we have to twiddle our thumbs for October 4th. However, a few extremely ‘enthusiastic’ gamers already got their hands on the game.

Apparently instead of whining or begging their players to not steal, From Software has come to the realization that it’s okay to screw with pirates and people who have it before the street date.

Deciding to have a little fun, those who went online had to face top-level Black Phantoms, or in layman’s terms, death on a stick.

And Demon’s Souls was a game that was notoriously difficult to begin with, so along with creating a good laugh, From Software effectively stopped any progress early-gamers may have made online.

For those who pick it up on October 4th in America will find it will probably be just as difficult to make any progress anyway.
