Notch has today revealed another tweak that he has made to Minecraft Beta 1.8; this time around the changes are for all the animals in Minecraft.
Notch revealed that after testing out the hunger bar and having to obtain food that he thought there was something wrong with the animals. By changing just four lines of Minecraft’s coding Notch has changed animal mobs’ responses to being attacked so that they “now flee randomly after taking damage.”
He went onto explain that “Hunting animals suddenly became a lot more fun and morally questionable as pigs would storm off grunting and chicken (or whatever the heck they are) would jump into ravines”.
Notch added that more was to come as upon further testing he found “a wolf was chasing a sheep, but the sheep was running away.” Another seemingly fun feature that has been added into Minecraft Beta 1.8 but which feature are you looking forward to most? Comment your opinions below.
