Earlier today, rumors surfaced regarding Borderlands 2. The word on the street is that we can expect this highly anticipated sequel sometime next year.
Randy Pitchford felt like getting in on the action by commenting on the exciting (and unconfirmed) news. Here’s what he had to say:
We’ve always said we love Borderlands and will do more. We have not announced anything.
I’ve got another scoop for you – there’s going to be another Call of Duty game next year!
While this isn’t an official announcement, it’s as close to one as we’re going to get for now. After all, he does seem to state that another Borderlands is as obvious as another Call of Duty game, and we all know COD will be around for countless years to come.
I’m sure fans are excited to dive back into copious amounts of weapon looting, but let’s hope the story ties up everything better this time around.
