Notch has revealed that he is currently working on a brand new mob for Minecraft.
The team at Mojang is currently working rather secretly on the Minecraft beta 1.8, otherwise known as the ‘adventure update’. Notch has carried on dropping hints at what the update will bring by tweeting “So now; coffee and some fresh air! Then a new mob, I think! :D”.
Notch didn’t reveal any details on the new mob but it is another feature to get excited about. Not much is confirmed for Minecraft beta 1.8 as of yet but when more information is revealed we will keep you up-to-date.

July 25, 2011 at 11:35 PMyeah in the minecraft folder there is a mob called silverfish….it hasnt been implimented into the game yet but maybe thats the new mob? hmmm interesting
