The latest issue of Famitsu interviewed Final Fantasy Versus XIII director Tetsuya Nomura to talk more about the game’s progress.
FinalFantasy.net translated and summarized the the best parts from the interview and it appears as if Final Fantasy versus XIII is shaping up to be one revolutionary title.
Nomura stated that cutscenes in the game will be “manipulatable” meaning the camera will be movable while you’re viewing them. It looks like Nomura wants the cutscenes to me more free flowing and seamless like they are in the Call of Duty games.
Nomura also wants to make sure the graphics and character models match both the cutscenes and gameplay. This means the visuals would be of very high quality much like they are in Final Fantasy XIII.
He said the game will have a Noctis phone like the one Cloud had in Advent Children.
Tetsuya Nomura also expressed he’s not sure when he will share more information about the game. This could suggest the game is still well into development and a release date won’t be announced any time soon as well…
