Now that we’re a few days away before the release of LittleBigPlanet 2, a lot of gamers are still wondering whether the content on the Game of the Year edition of the first LittleBigPlanet is fully compatible with the sequel.
From a plethora of content that is available on the Game of the Year edition of LittleBigPlanet, I am sad to report that none of the content included on the Game of the Year edition disc can be imported in LittleBigPlanet 2. However, as reported by IGN, all of the items that are purchased on the PlayStation Store can be used on the upcoming LittleBigPlanet 2.
More coverage on LittleBigPlanet 2 are coming! Stay tuned for our review next week!

January 8, 2011 at 7:53 PMI have LittleBigPlanet: Game of the Year Edition. Will that DLC carry over?
That’s hard to check, but we don’t see why it wouldn’t. LittleBigPlanet 2 is reading the LBP Profile on your system and all the DLC and items attached to it. If that stuff’s unlocked and attached to your profile, it should be there for you. – IGN

Odds are the content is directly on the disc so when it looks for the keys it wont find them. I suspect its like removing a account with LBP DLC, it will display the account with the DLC, but it will say “please download ____ dlc and retry”.
However just because there is currently “no way” Sony might release an update when the game is officially released, or a way for GOTY users to obtain the keys from PSN.
