Today Vahn Vonder Haar the Multiplayer Director at Treyarch announced via Twitter that there will be a total of 15 prestige levels in Call of Duty: Black Ops. To make sure the game isn’t drastically different length wise for the max prestige, the top level in Black Ops is 50.
Vahn Vonder Haar went on to say these extra 5 prestige levels are needed for the amount of rewards there are in-game. One rumoured prestige reward is the chance to buy golden camo for weapons, although it currently hasn’t been confirmed for which prestige.
Call of Duty: Black Ops will be hitting stores on November 9th.
