Earlier David Vahn Vonderhaar one of the design directors on Treyarch’s upcoming title Call of Duty: Black Ops made an interesting post. In the official Black Ops forum Vahn Vonderhaar revealed what he thinks will be the final game modes available in multiplayer (excluding wager matches).
In the core section of multiplayer almost everything seems typical, 12 players per game are usual for all but Free-For-All (8 players) and Ground War (18 players) but if Vahn Vonderhaar is correct Team Tactical will also now be 12 players; COD4 it had 6 and MW2 it had 8. Perhaps this is a mistake but hopefully we will find out shortly.
Hardcore obviously returns with 4 modes available Team Deathmatch, Search and Destroy, Headquarters and Free-For-All.
What will make a lot of people more interested in Black Ops is the new Barebones mode Classic. While Barebones Pure and Team Tactical which both have no Killstreaks or Perks, Classic returns the Killstreaks to the original 3 5 7 and is indicated to be a typical TDM.
With Call of Duty: Black Ops release getting closer expect to see a lot more information coming your way from Just Push Start.
