As I played my review copy of SCEA’s Gran Turismo for the PSP last week, one of the things I noticed is that it offers a data install to decrease load times. The data is 900MB and it took about 17 minutes to install. If you get this game then I highly recommend installing the data, the load times without data install can be quite annoying. The PS Store version shouldn’t have that much of a problem since it will be saved on the memory stick.
The embargo was lifted on September 15th so expect a review from us very soon! Stay tuned!

September 21, 2009 at 5:51 AMthats the reason why i and many others wont be buying a psp go.
seriously who has 500-1000Mbs to download for every single game they want.
what if theres 8 games that month i want to play?
than i have to download roughly what 6Gbs?
im sorry sony, but just because the ISPs have been kind enough to give you unlimited downloads does not mean they have been kind enough to give us the same.
im really starting to think sony own the ISPs or something, because they refuse to compress their files sufficiently.
seriously to download 1/5th of the content i want off the PSN store i would need a 20GB plus monthly connection.
thats why i still have not suscribed to quore.
seriously, sony you can tell me, are you working for optus?

January 6, 2010 at 10:14 AMThe actual GT download file is tiny (97 MB I think), the data install must fully uncompress it, i’m not sure how it works! But basically the PSN downloads are quite small so you can’t really complain about their size.
