In addition to the Son of Sparda mode that you get to unlock after beating the game in Devil May Cry 5, there’s even a ridiculously harder mode that makes a return from Devil May Cry 3 called Heaven or Hell Mode.
Heaven or Hell mode makes a return from Devil May Cry 3. It’s much harder than Dante Must Die mode, but at the same time, you will think of it as a joke as everything dies in one hit. Yes, everything including you, the boss, or any enemies that you encounter in the game.
Those who wish to finish the game in Heaven or Hell mode must do everything to stay away from getting hit. It’s almost important that you hit the enemy right away before it hits you.
Now, to unlock the Heaven or Hell mode, you must do the following – you need to beat the game in Son of Sparda mode in order to unlock the Heaven or Hell mode. Once you beat the game in Son of Sparda mode, all of the missions will get the option to choose the Heaven or Hell mode.
To take take advantage of the of the Heaven of Hell mode, there’s this mission that you have to try. As mentioned in our previous guide, there is a secret ending that you can unlock and that’s by killing the demon king Urizen on the prologue. Yes, it’s possible and with Heaven or Hell mode on, you just need to make the first hit on him and you’ll get to see the secret ending. Sounds cool eh?
In addition, there are other difficulty modes that you get to unlock following the completion of the game in Son of Sparda mode. Other difficulty modes are the following: Dante Must Die, and Hell and Hell mode.
