KOEI Tecmo announced today that the recently announced Switch version for Dynasty Warriors 8: Xtreme Legends will be coming west on December 27, the same day Japanese gets it.
As mentioned in our previous post, the Switch version of Dynasty Warriors 8 will be the complete edition that features all downloadable contents such as scenarios, costumes and other items. It will also be compatible with the save data of the other Warriors title on Switch such as Dynasty Warriors 8: Empires, Samurai Warriors: Spirit of Sanada, Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate, and Warriors Orochi 4.
In North America and Europe, Dynasty Warriors 8 will only be released digitally for $39.99 via the Nintendo eShop. Purchases made within the first week will include a ten percent discount.

Follow the stories of the kingdoms of Wei, Wu, Shu, and Jin through the actions of historical military and political figures as they fight for control over the Three Kingdoms of China. This new compilation combines the original Dynasty Warriors 8 with Dynasty Warriors 8: Xtreme Legends, providing gamers all of the tactical action the beloved series is known for, along with almost all of the DLC released to date; including costumes and side-story scenarios for many popular warriors. In addition, gamers will receive save data bonus costumes if they own the recently released Warriors Orochi 4.
Dynasty Warriors 8: Xtreme Legends first launched for PlayStation 3 and PS Vita in November 2013, followed by PlayStation 4 in February 2014 and PC in May 2014. Dynasty Warriors fan who missed out the release off Dynasty Warriors 8: Xtreme Legends should definitely look forward to it in North America, as KOEI Tecmo finally announced a localized version. With the Switch version, players will be able to play the game on-the-go and be able to use save data from previous Dynasty Warriors game.
Dynasty Warriors 8: Xtreme Legends Complete Edition DX will be coming to North America and Europe on December 27, 2018 for $39.99 via the eShop only. Sorry folks, no physical release.
