Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 disappointed many people because developer Treyarch decided to ditch a single player campaign in the game to focus on a Battle Royale mode instead. Well next year it sounds like a campaign will be added again in Call of Duty 2019.
This is based on a job listing that Infinity Ward has posted recently looking for a temporary Narrative Scripter. The job description says: “Come work with the game industry’s brightest on a new, exciting, unannounced title for multiple next gen platforms. In this hands-on role, you’ll collaborate with scripters, sound designers, writers, and directors to implement voice-over performances in-game across a wide variety of player experiences – from combat to set-pieces. ”
Judging by the listing, it also sounds like next year’s game might be available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Next since it mentions “multiple next gen platforms”!
Another clue that this is for Call of Duty is that the chosen candidate has to be familiar with FPS video games. That said, this news should be categorized as a rumor since Infinity Ward has yet to officially announce any new projects.
