Officially, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 has only been announced to be coming out for the PC, PS4 and Xbox One platforms. Activision has never said anything about a Nintendo Switch port. However, a new photo has circulated online showing a Gamestop retailer suggesting Black Ops 4 could be coming to the Nintendo Switch after all.
Twitter user AUGMC posted a photo of their local Gamestop showing a Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 game cover for you to pre-order. The Twitter user said: “Breaking: GameStop is putting up Nintendo Switch Versions Of Black Ops 4 on Display. The reveal is 3 days away. Let’s hope we find out info there“.
Call of Duty website, Charlie Intel, however have chimed in and says a Gamestop employee may have accidentally put the game in the Switch section. According to their sources, a Switch version of Black Ops 4 should not be happening.
It’s still possible the Switch could be getting a spin-off title. Activision would make a lot of money if they made a portable Call of Duty game for everyone to play. Not to mention it will continue the Switch’s momentum for getting good third party releases.
