Super Smash Bros. for the Nintendo Switch console was announced earlier this month much to the delight of fanboys/fangirls all over the world. With that being said, many fans have already tried their best to guess who might make it into the huge roster that the franchise usually offers.
Last week, we saw Funimation trying to convince Nintendo to add Dragon Ball’s Goku into Super Smash Bros. for the Nintendo Switch. This seems doable considering the fact that third party characters have been added to the series before like Cloud from FF7 and Snake from Metal Gear Solid just to name a few.
However, things might seem kind of patchy in regards to Nintendo wanting characters that belong to Microsoft. That said, Xbox Head Phil Spencer is willing to work with Nintendo to allow them permission to use Banjo Kazooie in the next game. This was confirmed via a tweet reply he made earlier this week.
From the sound of things, Microsoft is willing to allow Banjo Kazooie to appear in a Nintendo Switch exclusive video game. But, this may not mean Nintendo wants the character as they could always decline Microsoft’s offer.
Personally, I’d love to see Banjo and Kazooie in the game since both characters first got famous back in the N64 days. This was back when Rare was a Nintendo developer years before the studio got bought out by Microsoft back in the early ’00s. Anyway, we should know more details about the new Smash game when it comes out later this year. Which guest characters do you want to see the most in the game?
