The Tomb Raider video game franchise became famous when it was released on consoles back in the ’90s. From that point onward, the series became a worldwide phenomenon. Well in order to celebrate the new live action movie starring Alicia Vikander as Lara Croft, Dave & Buster’s has revealed an new arcade machine of Tomb Raider.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think this is the first time that the Tomb Raider series has never had its own arcade machine. Usually arcades games are reserved for fighting and driving games like the Tekken series, Initial D and several others.
Dave and Buster’s posted the following about the new arcade machine: “Tomb Raider is coming to theaters and to Dave & Buster’s! The new film is based on the 2013 reboot. Alicia Vikander is the second movie actress to play the role of Lara Croft as Angelina Jolie played the character first in the early ’00s.
