Ryu and Sakura are popular characters from Capcom’s Street Fighter franchise and the two fighters are now expanding their career choices. This is because they will now become hunters in the recently released Monster Hunter: World also released and developed by Capcom.
Capcom announced the details on its official blog. Full set armor will be available for Monster Hunter: World in order to look like Ryu and Sakura for your male and female hunters respectively. Not only will you look like them, but their voices will be a part of the game too to make it feel more authentic.
In a few week’s time, the Ryu set will be available exclusively for PS4 owners if you have a save file for both Street Fighter V or the newly released Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition. If you have the save data, you also get access to a new quest called “Down the Dark, Muddy Path”. By doing the quest and getting the reward, you will gain access to the Ryu armor set.
If you only have an Xbox One, Ryu armor will be coming at a later time. Details are scarce right now, but a special event will be released in the near future so Xbox gamers can make their hunters look like Ryu as well. Presumably, once the PC version is out they will have the Capcom fighters too.
You can look at Ryu and Sakura in Monster Hunter: World in the trailer posted down below. It is very funny to look at the trailer mainly because this is the first time we are seeing both of them wielding weapons of any kind. This is a great Capcom crossover and is sure to put a smile on the faces of Monster Hunter and Street Fighter fans all around the world.
