Thanks to a lot of people being unable to play the open beta of Dragon Ball FighterZ due to lots of server troubles, Bandai Namco is extending it for a bit longer in hopes that more people can actually join in on the fun.
The Dragon Ball Games Facebook page posed the following statement: “Hello FighterZ, Thanks a lot for playing in the Open Beta of Dragon Ball FighterZ, your participation has been invaluable in this test. As we are working hard to give you the best experience, we have decided to extend the open beta on both PS4 and X1 for an additional 24h period. Date and times to be announced shortly. Thanks again for playing!“
Thanks to all of the server troubles, it sounds like Bandai Namco also wants to stage another open beta just before launch. They need to do this in order to make sure its January 26th, 2018 release date goes smoothly.
The Bandai Namco Facebook page posted a different message saying: “Thanks to all of you who play-tested the Open Beta of DRAGON BALL FighterZ, your participation was invaluable and we’ve decided to do another round of open beta testing on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 (24hr. period). Dates & times to be announced soon, stay tuned!”
The beta is only available for PS4 and Xbox One gamers at the moment. There won’t be beta testing for PC players unfortunately. Anyway, beta testing is crucial in order to make sure players are happy with the final product. Releasing a game with shoddy servers means there will be a lot of angry gamers.
If you have been playing the beta, it’s good to keep trying. I’ve been logged out many times, but trying a lot means you can finally get in for a brief period before you might get booted out again.
