Telltale’s Guardians of the Galaxy video game will be out soon with episode 1 out this month. The ESRB has now rated the game giving us additional info about the game.
Telltale’s Guardians of the Galaxy video game has been rated Teen. The content descriptors say: “Language, Use of Alcohol, Violence”. The ESRB rated the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game, although the game should be similar on all platforms.
The rating summary says: “This is an action game, based on the Guardians of the Galaxy universe, in which players assume the role of Peter Quill on a quest to retrieve a mysterious relic. Players can engage in various action sequences that require timed button presses to successfully punch, slash, or shoot enemies.
Cutscenes depict additional acts of violence: a character shot in the chest with a laser blast; a villain breaking a character’s neck; a character stabbed in the chest with a spear. During the course of the game, characters are depicted passed out and hung over after drinking alcohol at a bar. The word “sh*t” is heard in the dialogue.”
The first episode of the Guardians of the Galaxy video game will be released on April 18th, 2017. The whole season will have 5 episodes in total. There’s no release date as to when the subsequent episodes will be released yet.
