After being launched on the PTR earlier this month, Overwatch patch 1.8.0 is now live for all players.
The update not only brings in some tested balance tweaks to heroes but also adds in some new features. Bastion is the hero with the most changes. An extensive reworking of his Sentry and Recon modes has been conducted which should see him picked even more! Capture the Rooster is to return as Capture the Flag. This mode will be constantly available in the Arcade.
A Game Browser has been added, apparently as “an extension of Overwatch’s Custom Game mode”. This will allow for tailor-made servers with map rotation options and plenty of customization.
Also launching alongside the 1.8 patch is Overwatch’s Competitive Play Season 4. A few tweaks have been made most notably that “high-level players are required to play more competitive matches to avoid inactivity decay”. The new patch is now available for download on all platforms PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
