Gamestop is allowing some customers to pick up their pre-orders for Horizon: Zero Dawn 3 hours earlier than the allotted release date. Good news for eager fans!
A person on Reddit first heard of the news via a text message. The message said: “Hello! This is Gamestop Northville messaging you with great news! Your copy of Horizon: Zero Dawn will be available to pick up starting Monday night at 9pm!”
Other people on the same Reddit thread rang up their local Gamestop stores and they too confirmed that you can pick up a copy 3 hours early. The confirmed time is 9pm EST so not midnight as it usually would have been. Northville is in the state of Michigan for those wanting more clarification.
This is one of the few times that people that bought a physical copy can play it earlier than those sitting at home waiting for the digital copy to unlock at the stroke of midnight.
