Many people were worried that the Nintendo Switch’s 32GB of internal memory storage was too little. Gamers will be happy to know that micro SD card support will allow you to make things bigger.
According to a report from Game Reactor Spain, they had the chance to attend a Nintendo Switch event in London and they found out more details about the storage options of the console.
Nintendo told them that the Switch can support 2TB of extra storage with “high-capacity (microSDXC) SD memory cards“. These cards aren’t widely available yet, so the company is looking towards the future. You can purchase cards with a smaller storage capacity in the meantime if you want to.
The report also says that you could also plug in an external hard drive on one of the USB sockets. External hard drive support won’t be available at launch, but Nintendo is going to implement it soon.
