Lionhead Studios is pleased to announce that Fable Legends for the PC and Xbox One will be a free-to-play title.
Inspired by League of Legends, Fable Legends will include four different heroes to play for free. In every two weeks, the four free heroes will be swapped out and replaced by a new group. Players can then unlock heroes for permanent use by purchasing them using the in-game currency or real money.
In addition, you’ll also be able to play as the villain. According to Lionhead Studios, villain players progress through the story arc just as hero players do. Each quest includes creatures native to that quest, which are free forever. However, if you decide to return to that quest and want to use creatures not native to that quest, you’ll need to unlock them by using real money or the in-game currency. The same goes for traps, gates, and standing stones.
Just like other free-to-play games, there are loot chests that you can get which generates random items. You can purchase them using real money or the in-game currency and you might get items like weapons, augments, armors, items, potions, and silver.
