If you were hoping to pick up the new golden Super Mario amiibo at Best Buy, you’re going to have to start looking elsewhere.
Nintendo announced that the precious amiibo will be only available through Walmart when it releases next month. The Super Mario amiibo – Gold Edition will be available at 3,000 of the Walmart stores located across North America. It’s worth noting that Walmart operates over 4,000 stores, so a quarter of their locations will be without this particular amiibo variant. If you want to venture a trek out to Walmart to hunt one of these amiibo in the wild, Nintendo will be releasing them to the general public on March 20th, a week after the release of Mario Party 10 which also features a second exclusive Mario amiibo.
The golden Super Mario amiibo, as well as every other amiibo that Nintendo stocks, are available for $12.96.
