Nintendo is certainly trying to do something very different with E3 this year. Similar in some ways to last with a streaming event, Nintendo is also hosting a Super Smash Bros. invitational tournament, as well as the Nintendo Treehouse: Live @ E3 on the showroom floor. Who knows what we will see there on Tuesday afternoon, but we do know one special guest that will be stopping by, the man himself Shigeru Miyamoto.
The official Nintendo E3 site posted the following details about the event.
Fans will be getting an unprecedented look at all the E3 games Nintendo has to offer. Instead of reading a short tweet or catching a gameplay trailer, fans can watch live as members of the Treehouse give in-depth gameplay demos of new and previously unannounced titles. There will also be special guest appearances from developers who will provide in-depth game commentary, including an appearance by Shigeru Miyamoto on the afternoon of Tuesday, June 10th.
Most expect that we will get a reveal of The Legend of Zelda Wii U and it would be fitting for Miyamoto to be around, but that could also be the case for many of his other major franchises like Mario. I know I’m really excited to see what Nintendo has in store for us, so stay tuned next Tuesday for all the updates as it goes on.
