To finish up last week’s updates for Super Smash Bros., we saw the first character reveal since the Nintendo Direct based around the game last month with the unveiling of the veteran Ike. Most every character reveal leads to at least one update the following week that focuses on a part of their moveset, and today’s update does exactly that.
Unlike Marth’s speedy and swift attack set, Ike is more of a brute and that is seen with his charge up Eruption attack.
Pic of the day. You can charge up Ike’s Eruption attack by holding the button down, but remember to release it right before it fully charges to avoid recoil damage. Let go of the button at the moment the sword shines!
This mechanic has been in the games since Melee with Roy at the time, so it isn’t anything too new, but it certainly does look even more powerful than ever before.
