One of the new items for Super Smash Bros. that we’ve known about for a little while is the Rocket Belt. Coming from Pilot Wings, it manages to give an extra boost to anyone using it.
Following the unveiling of Ike on Friday, Masahiro Sakurai decided to show off this item in an image with him, including a little joke as well.
Pic of the day. The rocket belt from Pilotwings lets you fly upward by jumping. This is a really useful item for characters that have weaker recoveries. By the way, is that cape fireproof?
This will certainly help some characters more than others, as some have much worse recoveries than others in the game. We’ll just have to see how effective it is when the game launches this summer on the Nintendo 3DS and later this year on Wii U.
