Activision is betting huge that Destiny will be a success as they are pouring $500 million into the game.
As reported on Reuters, Activision intends to spend “$500 million developing and promoting “Destiny“. This will be the most money ever spent making and marketing a video game ever.
$500 million is a lot of money and if Activision intends to break even with Destiny, they need to sell about 15 to 16 million copies of the game at the price of $60 according to analysts.
This is a huge gamble considering the game is a new IP. Actvision hopes the fans of both Halo and Call of Duty will intend the buy Destiny. After all, the game is developed by Bungie.
