If you follow Sony’s gaming endeavors, you’ve likely at least hear the name Shuhei Yoshida before in the past. Yoshida is the current president of Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios, so he certainly has a major role in the company. However, he doesn’t just play PlayStation consoles as he has revealed in an interview that he has been banned twice from the Miiverse service through his own personal Wii U console.
When speaking with Sony’s Mark Cerny last week, Yoshida revealed his two bannings from Nintendo social network. The first time he said it was because he had his Twitter account in his profile, a major no-no on the service. The second time was due to a comment he posted that said “I love PS.” This was obviously a promotion of a commercial product, which is also a no-no on Miiverse.
While this isn’t really news, it is a funny little story that just because you are a top guy at a gaming company doesn’t mean that you can’t own competitor’s systems and enjoy them.
