While we have actually gotten some official information about the next-gen exclusive Assassin’s Creed Unity, the game expected for Xbox One, Playstation 4, and possibly PC has had little leak, except for the possible title of Assassin’s Creed Comet. Now, some new information has surfaced from multiple different sources that seem to point to the game being somewhat of a follow-up to the nautical themed Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, but with you taking control of a Templar instead.
The French website Gameblog posted information stating the game would be set in 1758 North America, starring a sailor named Shay who betrays the captain of his ship. Kotaku then followed up and heard more sources that said the game should feature a lot of sailing in the Atlantic Ocean, with stops including New York. One source even said the game was almost like a hybrid between Assassin’s Creed III and Assassin’s Creed IV’s Freedom Cry DLC.
Sources also say that Haytham Kenway and Adewalé will likely make appearances at some point in the game, so it will certainly tie in with the past in some way. Considering we just learned about Assassin’s Creed Unity, it is likely we will learn more about Comet in the near future.
