PlayStation 4 Firmware 1.62 may have just released this week, but that doesn’t mean that Sony is stopping there for the near future. Through the official PlayStation blog, it has been revealed that PlayStation 4 Firmware 1.7 is coming in the next few weeks.
This latest update brings many new features that gamers have been wanting since launch, such as the ability to turn off HDCP, export videos and screenshots created from the SHARE button to a USB drive, and a rich video editor that will allow you to better personalize your own clips. The ability to turn of HDCP will allow gamers to capture footage over HDMI, which is big for a lot of people.
Also, Sony mentions something that will come in a future update with Twitch that will allow streams to reach 720p. Stay tuned for more info on when Firmware 1.7 will be available for download.
