If reports are to be believed the European version of South Park: The Stick of Truth has been censored.
According to BT.com they have received documentation which suggests that the European version has had the same content cut as the Middle East and Africa. It is common place for the Middle East and other countries, such as Australia, to have games censored. However often in Europe it is only in German where content is censored. In the UK South Park: The Stick of Truth is rated 18 meaning it can legally only be sold to those aged 18 and over. So what exactly has been cut from a game only adults will play?
The documentation points towards 7 separate 20 second long scenes being removed from the final game. These being:
• A mini-game where a doctor is performing an abortion on the player.
• A mini-game where the player is performing an abortion on the character Randy.
• Five ‘anal probing’ scenes in which characters are ‘actively’ being probed.
While they are not exactly the most tasteful scenes in the world is it right that Ubisoft has cut the content? Let us know your opinion in the comment section below.
