Capcom has been one of the longest running gaming companies and they are still a big part of the market today. With the 2014 fiscal year nearing in a couple months, the CEO of Capcom, Kenzo Tsujimoto, has released a statement on their official website discussing their upcoming plans for the company.
Tsujimoto says that the company will integrate both the global operations and sales departments. He also says that they want to strengthen their marketing strategies such as with downloadable content and online play.
I believe that we have largely completed the framework needed for reexamining development operations and reinforcing marketing strategies. Our next objective is to provide to as many people as possible a variety of products that take full advantage of Capcom’s vast amount of content.
Tsuijimoto went on further to say that they plan on hiring 100 new software developers per year, so they can further strengthen their developmental workforce. Let’s just hope that this means we have some developers to bring the Mega Man franchise back at some point in the near future, especially with him showing up in the new Super Smash Bros.
