One of the better selling points of the Nintendo Wii U before launch was TVii, which allows you to access certain video services, like Netflix, that you subscribe to, including cable and satellite providers. The service launched in December 2012 in both the US and Japan, but was scheduled for a release in Europe in 2013. However, that time has come and gone without a release.
As a result, the official website for the UK branch of Nintendo has released an apology for its lack of release as scheduled.
We would like to apologise that we were unable to bring the Nintendo TVii service to Europe in 2013 as originally planned.
Please continue to keep an eye out for further announcements regarding this service in the near future.
