People claiming that console gaming is dead shouldn’t speak anymore as the release of the Xbox One and PS4 has helped boost overall game sales.
NPD group has announced that game sales in December 2013 increased by 50% compared to sales accumulated in December 2012. This is mainly because a lot of gamers bought PS4 and Xbox One consoles along with many next-gen games to go along with them.
NPD Group have said both the PS4 and Xbox One are off to a great start. Both consoles have been selling fast in many countries and are still in high demand. This trend is likely to continue for many years to come as I doubt lots of gamers will ditch their consoles for smartphone/tablet games…
