Super Smash Bros. teases new stage based on Animal Crossing

Another day, another tease for the upcoming Super Smash Bros game. This time, we have a reveal that should be a Nintendo 3DS exclusive, a new stage. In today’s latest posting by Masahiro Sakurai, a stage was teased in the daily picture that looks to be based on the recent Animal Crossing: New Leaf.

The image shows Animal Crossing series regular Kapp’n alongside Donkey Kong on what appears to be a boat. In Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Kapp’n drives a motorized boat, so the stage likely has something to do with that. Sakurai’s Miiverse message was as follows:

Pic of the day. Yar, I wants to watch some o’ that Smash action, too, ye great beast!

As with most stage teases, we will likely get follow-up images in the coming weeks before a full stage reveal.
