The title update that was made available today for those who purchased Splinter Cell: Conviction on the Xbox 360 will be facing a freezing issue. If you are one of those gamers who downloaded the title update, you will experience the freezing issue on the second level. While UbiSoft is making a patch to fix this issue, they have released a temporary solution to it; remove the title update.
By going to your System Settings and the Hard Drive, press Y and clear the Cache. By clearing the Cache, you will remove all of the title updates and patches installed on your hard drive. Once it’s all removed, play Conviction but don’t download the update. Yes, it’s the only solution as of now.
UPDATE: According to UbiSoft, the update is safe to download now. Go ahead and download the update once again.

April 13, 2010 at 3:52 PMi think that me spending $60 on a new game is great…i can come home relax and be a gamer however recently with this game i can not just relax…i honestly think that waiting an extra however many months that i had to was a waste of time and money considering no one can get past the second level…splinter cell has been my favorite game ever since the original one and i would think that narrow headed peons such as these creators would be wise enough to fix a glitch…but i guess we were wrong as customers!!!!
