SkyDrive is a very useful tool to upload and sync your data to cloud storage that has been been known under a few different names from Microsoft over the last few years. Now it has been officially confirmed as coming to Xbox One at launch to make your data storage even easier.
Major Nelson’s blog has linked to a video from the official SkyDrive Videos Youtube page that shows the service being used on the Xbox One. In this video, Xbox’s Principal GPM, Jeff Henshaw, explains how the Xbox One and SkyDrive have come together to “bring all the entertainment that people love together in one device on one input on your television.”
The Xbox One already has the ability to bring lots of entertainment on its own, but SkyDrive brings the ability to bring in your own and friend’s photos and videos. This is done by having everything in the cloud on your SkyDrive account being instantly available on the Xbox One. For greater details, check out the demonstration video provided by Skydrive below:
