As we reported in another article, for the second time, someone has received an Xbox One early. This happened apparently due to a mess up from Target with shipping the console. The first person to receive the console early put it on eBay, but the second actually decided to keep it and try it out. As a result, Microsoft banned the console after connecting it to Xbox Live.
Moonlightswami on Twitter is the owner of this early Xbox One, and while he was posting information online about the system itself, including the dashboard and OS, he did nothing illegal since he received the game legally. He has come out since his initial tweets and confirmed that luckily it is just the console that is banned, not his gamertag, so it could just be a case of being temporarily banned until November 22.
Microsoft’s Major Nelson has since posted on the gaming messageboard NeoGAF and said “I reached out to him and I’ll get this sorted out. His console will not be permabanned that is for sure.” This is good news considering the console was not obtained illegally, especially considering Target has confirmed that a few were accidentally sent out due to system errors.
