Most would assume just based on the name that Yoshi’s Cookie would have no risk of being removed from the Wii Virtual Console, but even though it is a Yoshi title, it was developed by Bullet Proof Software. Due to what has to be some sort of agreement expiring, Yoshi’s Cookie will be removed from the Wii Virtual Console after Friday, October 18 in the United States.
Yoshi’s Cookie is a matching game of blocks similar to something modern like Bejeweled. The game received mixed to favorable reviews and is definitely a fun little game to play. It was also released on the Game Boy and Super Nintendo, but neither of those were ever released on the Wii Virtual Console.
Yoshi’s Cookie was also removed from the Wii Virtual Console in Europe and Japan on October 11, so anyone that is in those areas is sadly out of luck. Don’t miss out on your last chance to get this game!
