A leaked image on Monday that IGN uncovered showed that a Halo 4 Game of the Year Edition would be coming to Xbox 360 this October. The image stated that the new release of the 343 Industries game would be released for available for $49.99 rather than the original’s cost of $59.99.
The leaked image stated that the new release would come with $80 of content, which will include Spartan Ops Season 1, War Games Map Pass, Halo 4 Champions Bundle, and both pre-order and limited edition exclusive content for the original Halo 4. After asking for more information, a Microsoft spokesperson said:
A Game of the Year Edition of Halo 4 will be offered this October, offering tremendous value for fans who want to enjoy one of the most critically acclaimed games of 2012, and additional DLC all in one place. We will have more details to share during the live stream of the Halo Global Championship Finals this Sunday.
