If there’s one thing MMO lacks this generation, that is the constant stream of updates to keep players in. From the plethora of MMOs that are out this generation, players aren’t just satisfied with the amount and frequency game developers put out their content. Some MMOs have content to put out every two months, while others every six months. Well, those who are getting The Elder Scrolls Online next year have one thing to expect: frequent game content to keep players busy and they don’t need to worry about the dryness of game contents.
In an interview of Shacknews with the creative director Paul Sage, The Elder Scrolls Online will receive frequent game updates after it launches next year. Here’s what he has to say:
“We always want to make sure there is something new right around the corner. Our plan is to have new content coming out on a really frequent basis. We want to make sure that people are really into the game and get to experience a lot of new things.
“We will have a lot of content at release, but I know that players are amazing in their ability to chew through content quickly, so we want to make sure there is a constant stream of goodies coming to them.”
“The more frequently you update, the more the players like it. Players are more engaged. I think it is an issue of trust in a lot of ways. They know there is going to be a lot of new content coming in.”
Now that we know there will be more content coming to The Elder Scrolls Online, just what kind will Zenimax Online deliver? According to Paul Sage, the story will be expanded through numerous game content. What the main story has is pretty much a bridge to deliver a bigger story to the world of Tamriel.
“We’ve talked about Molag Bol stealing your soul at the start of the game, but that’s a launching point. You’ll wrap up the main story in The Elder Scrolls Online at release and that leads into an even bigger story.”
With all of the exciting information that Zenimax Online keeps on releasing, let’s hope they will stick to their worlds until launch. We know that The Elder Scrolls Online is one of the most anticipated MMOs to arrive this generation and seeing them succeed is what we’re excited to see for next year.
