TNA Wrestling President Dixie Carter has revealed the company is still interested in making another video game.
Here’s what he said during a Q&A session:
I hope so! Our first game sold over one million copies worldwide. We are hopeful we’ll find the right partner for another video game soon.
The first TNA video game was published and developed by Midway back in 2008. Despite selling over 1 million copies, the game was critically panned and Midway folded. Most of the developers of the that TNA game went on to develop WWE All Stars a few years later.
Another TNA video game was released for tablets and mobile devices and was published by Namco Bandai. I’m not sure what happened to that game, but I don’t think anyone played it.
There was a rumor a few months ago that Activision was interested in publishing a game for TNA. Whether or not they’re still interested remains to be seen…

August 3, 2013 at 8:17 AMCritically panned? Gamespot gave TNA iMPACT 7/10, IGN gave it 6.4/10, VIDEOGAMER.COM gave it 7/10 and it has a metacritic score of 62 out of 100 indicating mixed reviews. That is not panned. That’s mixed to positive.

August 3, 2013 at 9:04 PMWhy? The first one wasn’t crappy enough…What are they sure they could do ….But then again they might need more than 10 wrestlers on their roster. Although I suppose the could just make it about the Hogans and Bitchoffs

August 22, 2013 at 9:50 AMMaybe THQ could make the new TNA game. Now that 2k has took over the WWE license, THQ is a free agent in the wrestling world.
Imagine that, a TNA game with good gameplay and a full roster.

September 26, 2013 at 12:35 PMI hope they make another game. the 1st one was solid for a 1st game. yea there were things they need to work on like movesets/finishers, attires/current & alt., game modes/bfg series/king of mountain/ultimate x, caws, tag teams/alliances/rivals, etc. but I think if they are already getting started on it now they could do a lot. honestly they need to just mimic the wwe titles on how to go about setting up game modes, caws, movesets, and gameplay. but what would make it different would be the roster. u use the current roster and try to get past wrestlers on the game as well. u could have a great roster never seen on one game b4. and I feel this would even help tna become more mainstream as they could promote it at bfg during the hall of fame ceremony announcing that it will be 6 months away from being released giving the release date in april, the same time as when the last wwe dlc pack comes out, this would allow for maximum sales and keep fans happy when bored from wwe game waiting for next one. basically it would not avoid competition between wwe and tna but help by not taking sales away. im not gonna get my hopes up by I feel this game would have potential

October 5, 2013 at 3:11 AMI was thinking about TNA and i said: What if THQ (Former WWE videogames publisher) make a TNA Video game (TNA Impact Wrestling XV or 15)?

October 31, 2013 at 10:16 PMTHQ went bankrupt, it’s not that they sold the licence cause they weren’t doing good, they sold it cause they couldn’t do it any more. TNA needs to work on making their programs and PPVs better before trying to venture into video games again. They need to bring back the six sided ring, and stop trying to be like WWE. We as wrestling fans will have to wait a few more years till Vince buys out TNA and then the Roster will be in a WWE game.
