Capcom vs SNK 2: Mark of the Millennium 2001 was one of the best ever 2D fighting games available on the PS2. Fighting fans will be happy to know it will be released as a PS2 classic very soon.
Capcom’s Christian Svensson answered a fan’s question on Capcom vs SNK 2 on the official forums:
“Current schedule for the release of the PS2 game is the end of April… mind you, if Sony chooses, that could move (it is later than I had originally anticipated already).”
His grammar may have been off today (that’s his exact words), but basically he’s saying the game is currently scheduled to be released as PS2 classic title at the end of April. Sony could decide to delay the game, but this is the current release schedule for the game.
Too bad Capcom vs SNK 2 did not receive the “HD” treatment that other games received, but it’s still an awesome game to play even today.

March 20, 2013 at 5:46 PMWhile its great that the best crossover Capcom ever did is in the news again, it’s just a port and no added features, like online or HD mode.
But if this is a teaser for Capcom vs SNK 3, then in that context this is very exciting news.
